HISTORY OF PARA SUKMA
 
The SUKMA Para Games will be specially organized for People with Disabilities (OKU) according to their respective categories after the end of the Malaysian Games (SUKMA) in the states involved. In the beginning, the games were known as the Malaysian Paralympic Games before being changed to Para SUKMA in 2018.
 
Participation in these games will involve all 14 states and will be regulated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the National Sports Council (MSN). The Games will also be organized in collaboration with the Malaysian Paralympic Council and the host states involved.
 
The organization of the 2022 Para SUKMA sports games was held around the Klang Valley with MSN being mandated as the host for the 20th edition of the games. This time, Para SUKMA XXI will be held in Kuching, Sarawak.
